Search Consultancy is looking for a skilled, time-served Bricklayer to join an active construction site in Newcastle upon Tyne. We are partnering with an established main contractor requiring an experienced operative capable of delivering high-quality face brickwork and structural blockwork across a busy local project.
If you are a Bricklayer who takes pride in clean gauge work, precise corners, and high daily output, and wants to secure strong earnings with a reputable agency, we have immediate starts available now.
The Role
Brickwork & Blockwork: Constructing facing brickwork, blockwork partition walls, internal leaves, and structural masonry to exact project drawings and levels.
Openings & Lintels: Setting out, laying damp proof courses (DPC), installing cavity tray systems, and setting lintels over door and window openings.
Pointing & Finishing: Finishing mortar joints neatly (bucket handle, recessed, or flush) to match site specifications and high aesthetic standards.
Site Safety: Maintaining a tidy work area, adhering to scaffold safety guidelines, and following site RAMS at all times.
Requirements
CSCS Card: A valid CSCS Card (Bricklayer / Skilled Worker) is mandatory.
Experience: Proven track record in commercial or residential bricklaying and blockwork.
Tools & Kit: Full personal trowel kit, levels, hand tools, and standard 5-point PPE.
Reliability: High attention to detail, punctual, and capable of keeping pace with site schedules.
Right to Work: Must have a valid right to work in the UK.
