DevOps Engineer - Python Specialist

Remote

£640 per day inside ir35

Active SC clearance required - single nationality

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Python development skills to join a major UK Government digital transformation programme.

This is a development-focused DevOps role, ideal for someone with strong experience across Python, Go, AWS, Kubernetes and automation within secure, large-scale environments.

Key skills:
* Strong Python development - backend systems, APIs, microservices & automation
* Go / Golang development experience
* AWS - EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch & Lambda
* AWS SDKs - boto3 / aws-sdk-go-v2
* Kubernetes API integration & automation
* HashiCorp Vault and secrets management
* LDAP / Active Directory integration
* CI/CD pipelines and Git
* Python testing - pytest, unittest & mocking
* Strong automation and API development experience

Candidates must hold active SC clearance and meet the required single-nationality criteria. The role is also subject to additional vetting, which may result in a longer-than-usual onboarding process.
