Engage Education are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and dedicated Classroom Support Workers to join a welcoming SEN school in Manchester.
The school is looking for passionate individuals who are committed to supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them achieve their full potential in a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
As a Classroom Support Worker, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils both inside and outside the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and additional needs.
* Providing one-to-one and small-group support where required.
* Assisting pupils with their learning, development and engagement in classroom activities.
* Supporting positive behaviour and helping pupils develop their confidence and independence.
* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Assisting with personal care where required.
* Supporting pupils during break times, lunchtimes and school activities.
* Following individual education, behaviour and support plans.
* Working as part of a dedicated and supportive school team.
About You
We are looking for candidates who are:
* Passionate about working with children and young people.
* Patient, caring and empathetic.
* Confident supporting pupils with additional needs.
* Able to build positive relationships with pupils.
* Reliable, proactive and adaptable.
* Comfortable working as part of a wider classroom team.
* Experienced in an SEN setting or have transferable experience from care, support work, youth work or similar environments.
Previous experience working with SEN is desirable but not essential, as the right attitude and commitment to supporting pupils are highly valued.
