The Opportunity
Sphere Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to support a well-established PLC housebuilder on a residential development for an initial 6-week period.
The role will focus primarily on plot handovers, finishing works and associated roadworks, ensuring homes and external areas are completed to the required quality, safety and programme standards.
This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced residential Site Manager who is confident taking ownership of the final stages of construction and coordinating trades and subcontractors through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day delivery of works across the development.
Oversee plot handovers, ensuring properties are completed to the required standard.
Coordinate finishing trades, subcontractors and site teams.
Monitor snagging and ensure outstanding works are completed promptly.
Manage external works, including roads, footpaths and associated infrastructure.
Monitor progress against the construction programme.
Ensure all works comply with drawings, specifications and company standards.
Carry out regular quality inspections.
Maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
Liaise with the Project Manager and wider construction team.
Coordinate materials, labour, deliveries and site logistics.
Maintain accurate site records and ensure relevant documentation is completed.
Assist with final inspections, handovers and completion of plots.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential housebuilding.
Strong experience managing plot completion and handover.
Experience with external works and roadworks.
SMSTS – essential.
CSCS Black Card – essential.
First Aid – essential.
Strong knowledge of health and safety and quality requirements.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage subcontractors and multiple priorities.
