An established manufacturing business located in Bognor Regis, West Sussex is seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to support their finance team. With a history dating back to 1971 and an annual turnover of £7 million, this organisation offers a stable and professional environment with growth aspirations.
The role provides an opportunity to utilise broad accounting experience within a friendly, team-oriented culture. The role is offered on a part-time basis of between 12 to 15 hours per week depending on the successful candidate’s preference with Tuesday and Friday being compulsory days. This role is a temporary to permanent opportunity.
What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?
Supporting the finance team with sales and purchase ledger activities to ensure smooth financial operations
Assisting with bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cashbook records
Processing invoices, payments, and credit notes across multiple currencies (GBP, EUR, USD)
Contributing to month-end reporting and VAT submissions
Responding to sales and customer enquiries, supporting administrative tasks to maintain efficient operations
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:
Experience with Pegasus Opera 3 or comparable accounting software is advantageous
Strong MS Excel skills with an eye for detail
Positive attitude, adaptable approach, and ability to work collaboratively
Prior experience in manufacturing or retail environments is desirable
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and demonstrate a proactive approach
