Logistics Operative (Warehouse Environment) – Temporary Ongoing
Location: Worcester
Pay Rate: From £13.03 per hour
Overtime: £15.00 - £20.00 per hour (depending on hours worked)
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
Multiple Positions Available
We are currently recruiting for a number of Logistics Operatives to work within a busy warehouse and distribution environment for a well-known household brand based in Worcester. This is a temporary ongoing role with the potential for permanent opportunities in the future for the right candidates.
The role involves working across various warehouse and logistics functions, supporting the movement, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of products throughout the operation.
Shift Patterns Available
There are vacancies across two shift patterns:
Shift 1: 06:00 - 15:00
Shift 2: 15:00 - 00:00
Working hours can vary between 30 and 45 hours per week, depending on business requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working within a warehouse environment, your responsibilities may include:
* Picking and storing parts using MHE or manually
* Packing products and customer orders
* Preparing orders for dispatch
* Moving materials between warehouse and factory areas using MHE or manually
* Stock control and inventory duties
* General warehouse and logistics activities
* Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
You may be assigned to different logistics departments, including:
Goods InMaterial FlowDespatchSpares
MHE Equipment Used
A variety of MHE equipment is used throughout the business, including:
Forklift Trucks
VNA Trucks (Man Risers)
Tugs
Ride-On Pallet Trucks
Full training will be provided; however, previous experience is highly desirable.
Candidate Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
A good command of the English language
Good literacy and communication skills
A minimum of 1-2 years' warehouse experience
A minimum of 1-2 years' logistics experience
Experience working within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Locations
Successful candidates may work from either:
* Warndon Plant, Cotswold Way
* Distribution Centre, Wainwright Road
Both locations are based in Worcester and are within approximately one mile of each other.
