SEND Learning Support Assistant - Temp to Contract
West Drayton £15.35 - £16.65 per hour Full‑time, 5 days per week
A highly inclusive and forward‑thinking specialist setting in West Drayton is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long‑term role, working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing, structured environment.

Pupils present with a variety of needs including ASC, SLD, communication difficulties and sensory processing differences, and the school prides itself on creating a safe, calm and consistent environment where every child can thrive.
What the Role Involves
* Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEND
* Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and sensory strategies
* Using tools such as visual timetables, now/next boards and personalised learning resources
* Supporting pupils through structured routines, transitions and behaviour plans
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team
* Contributing to a positive, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment
* Helping pupils build confidence, independence and engagement in learning
What You'll Need
* Genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with autism and complex needs
* Previous SEND experience or relevant background ( psychology, sports, youth work)
* DBS on the Update Service
* Reliability, resilience and a calm, caring approach
