An opportunity has arisen for experienced MEP Construction Supervisors / Managers to join a major civil engineering joint venture delivering a significant section of the HS2 programme in Buckinghamshire.
The joint venture has completed approximately 10 miles of tunnelling and associated civil engineering works, running from South Buckinghamshire into the Chilterns. With the main tunnelling works completed, the project is moving into the next phase, including the installation of mechanical, electrical and building services infrastructure.
The project includes seven shafts and headhouses, and we are looking for MEP Construction Supervisors / Managers to oversee the MEP subcontractor and act as the key link between site operations and the project office.
The Role
Working closely with the Lead MEP Project Manager, you will provide day-to-day management and supervision of MEP installation activities across the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and coordinating the MEP subcontractor on site
Monitoring installation activities, progress and quality
Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with project requirements
Coordinating MEP activities with the wider civil engineering and construction teams
Identifying and resolving site issues before they impact programme delivery
Providing accurate progress updates to the MEP Project Manager and project office
Supporting testing, commissioning and eventual handover activities
Maintaining strong communication between subcontractors, site teams and project managementAbout You
We are interested in speaking with MEP, Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Construction Supervisors and Managers with experience delivering complex construction projects.
Previous rail experience is not essential. Candidates from major building services, infrastructure, commercial construction, industrial or similarly complex project environments are encouraged to apply.
You should have strong site-management skills, a practical understanding of MEP installation and the ability to manage subcontractors effectively.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop their experience on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes, with the potential to move into future projects within the principal contractor following completion and handover of the HS2 works.
The programme is expected to run for approximately four years, providing excellent continuity and long-term career potential.

Both freelance/contract and permanent opportunities can be considered.
For freelance candidates, CIS day-rate arrangements are available for the foreseeable future.
The project office is based in Denham, South Buckinghamshire, with regular site involvement across the Buckinghamshire HS2 works.
