The Business
Our client is an established organisation based in the Gateshead area, providing high-quality services across a range of facilities.
Due to continued requirements, they are looking to appoint a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys maintaining clean, safe and welcoming environments.
The Role
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across offices, accommodation and communal areas.
Your duties will include:
Carrying out general cleaning duties to maintain offices and accommodation to a high standard.
Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, communal areas and other assigned areas.
Dusting, wiping and disinfecting surfaces, furniture, fixtures and fittings.
Vacuuming carpets, rugs and upholstery.
Sweeping and mopping hard floors.
Cleaning and sanitising toilets, sinks, showers, baths and other bathroom facilities.
Cleaning kitchen worktops, sinks, appliances and cupboards.
Emptying bins and replacing bin liners.
Cleaning mirrors, glass, doors and windows as required.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
Using cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly.
Following COSHH and health and safety procedures.
Reporting maintenance issues, damage, hazards or repairs to the appropriate person.
Respecting clients' privacy, property and personal belongings.
Working independently and managing cleaning duties effectively within allocated time.
Maintaining cleaning equipment in a clean, safe and usable condition.
Following company cleaning schedules, procedures and standards.
Providing a professional, reliable and courteous service at all times.
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A full, clean driving licence is essential for this role as you will be using a company van to commute to various sites
Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic cleaning role.
A strong eye for detail and pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
A reliable, hardworking and professional approach.
The ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good time management skills.
The ability to follow cleaning schedules, procedures and health and safety requirements.
A professional and respectful attitude towards clients and colleagues.
The ability to work flexibly between 20 and 40 hours per week.
A good understanding of workplace hygiene and safe use of cleaning products.
