The Opportunity
As a DT Teacher, you will deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to develop both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
We are particularly interested in teachers with experience in Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, managing practical activities and ensuring students work safely and effectively with appropriate tools, equipment and materials.
The role would suit an experienced DT Teacher, as well as an ECT with relevant secondary teaching experience.
Your Responsibilities
Planning and delivering engaging DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Teaching Food Technology and/or Resistant Materials.
Managing practical lessons and ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed.
Supporting students to develop practical and design skills.
Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback.
Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
Preparing and organising resources for practical activities.
Working effectively with the wider DT department.
Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
