About this contract

Freelance Design Manager | Northampton | Outside IR35

We’re working with a Midlands-based shed contractor who are looking for an experienced Freelance Design Manager on an ongoing basis.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll take ownership of the design process and help put the right systems and processes in place as the business grows.

The role:

* Northampton based

* Ongoing freelance requirement

* Projects up to £20m

* Industrial / commercial shed projects

* Set up and improve design management processes

* Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and design teams

* Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals

* Work across pre-construction and construction

* Identify and resolve design issues before they impact programme or cost

* Outside IR35

We’re looking for:

* Strong main contractor Design Management experience

* Industrial, warehouse or shed experience

* Someone confident setting up and improving processes

* Strong technical and commercial understanding

* Good communication and stakeholder management skills

* Available at short notice
