Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) in Greenwich
£110 - £130 per day. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.
Start date: 19 October 2026 | full-time, long-term, temporary
Hours: Term time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Ready to take greater responsibility for learning while keeping close contact with pupils? As an HLTA, you will deliver planned activities, support classroom continuity and use small-group sessions to help children consolidate essential skills. Transparency Education is recruiting for two positions in Greenwich.
Key responsibilities
Lead planned learning activities and agreed whole-class cover
Deliver small-group interventions and review pupils’ understanding
Adapt resources with teachers to support different learning needs
Maintain positive routines and share progress with classroom colleagues
Role requirements
HLTA status or equivalent evidence of higher-level classroom experience
Confidence leading learning in a primary classroom
Strong literacy, numeracy, organisation and communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and an enhanced DBS check appropriate to the role, or willingness to complete one.
