SEN Teaching Assistant – Aberdare

Based in Aberdare, the SEN Teaching Assistant position involves working closely with children who have diverse needs, helping them to reach their full potential. The role is full-time and long-term, providing a rewarding environment to develop your skills and experience in special education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing general classroom support to enhance learning experiences for all pupils
* Collaborating with the Class Teacher to develop engaging, inclusive lesson plans
* Supporting children with very complex learning difficulties, tailoring approaches to meet individual needs
* Assisting with behavioural and emotional support strategies
* Fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
* Promoting positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with complex learning needs or challenging behaviours
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Adaptability and patience in a dynamic classroom setting
* Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or childcare are desirable
* Enthusiasm for supporting children’s development and inclusion
