Auto Electrician

Location: Sandbach

Rate of pay: £15.10ph

Working schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 3:30pm and Fridays 6:30am - 12:00pm.

Temporary to permanent opportunity for successful workers

Adecco are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to install, repair, and maintain electrical systems across a range of vehicles at our client's site based in Sandbach. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring and excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a solid understanding of electrical circuits and system functionality
Test, inspect, and snag wiring and electrical systems
Carry out installation and repair of wiring, circuits, batteries, alternators, and starters
Perform loom building and installation of vehicle wiring harnesses
Conduct van testing and ensure all electrical systems are functioning correctly
Install additional electrical systems and accessories such as alarms, GPS units, lighting, and audio equipment
Interpret and work from technical diagrams, wiring schematics, and manuals
Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose electrical faults in vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used

Skills and experience

Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components
Good understanding of electrical circuits and wiring systems
Experience with looming, testing, and fault-finding beneficial
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and quality of work
Ability to work independently and within a team
Good communication skills
