Postal Delivery Worker

Location: Coulby, Newham
Pay: £13.69 per hour PAYE
Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift: 8:00 am - 2:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Weekend: Saturday and Sunday work may be required

SWIFT Temps Ltd are working in partnership with Royal Mail to recruit Postal Delivery Workers to support their busy operation in Coulby, Newham

The Role

You will be responsible for sorting and preparing mail before heading out on your allocated delivery route. You will deliver letters and parcels to homes and businesses throughout the local community.

Duties include:

* Sorting and preparing letters and parcels

* Delivering mail and parcels safely and efficiently

* Following allocated delivery routes

* Using a handheld device to manage deliveries

* Providing excellent customer service

* Working outdoors in all weather conditions

* Walking for extended periods during your delivery round

About You

* Reliable, hardworking and self-motivated

* Friendly and professional

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

* Physically fit for a walking-based role

* Previous delivery or customer service experience is desirable but not essential

Requirements

* Full UK manual driving licence at your current UK address

* Maximum 6 penalty points

* Must successfully complete a DBS security check
