Lead Assembler

Job Type
Temporary (ongoing work depending on client requirements)
£14–£15 per hour | Monday–Friday | 37.5 hours per week | Overtime available
We Are BX2 are currently recruiting for an experienced Lead Assembler to join a well-established UK manufacturing business.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for assembling products and components while providing day-to-day support and guidance to a small team of assemblers.
The Role
* Assemble products using hand and power tools
* Work from engineering drawings and work instructions
* Fit components including hinges, locks, brackets, seals and electrical accessories
* Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
* Help coordinate workloads and support the assembly team
* Train and support new team members
* Identify and report any quality or production issues
* Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or production - Essential
* Experience leading, supporting or mentoring a team
* Ability to use hand and power tools
* Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
* Must have the legal right to work in the UK
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* A reliable, proactive and hands-on approach
Desirable: Experience with electrical assembly/wiring, metal or fabricated products, or a forklift licence.
