About this job

We are currently recruiting experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to undertake condition surveys across a portfolio of social housing properties, including houses, flats and blocks.

The successful Surveyor will be responsible for carrying out detailed property inspections, assessing the condition of building components and identifying any defects, maintenance requirements and potential HHSRS hazards. Survey information will be accurately recorded using a tablet-based system.

Key Responsibilities

* Undertake stock condition surveys of houses, flats and blocks.

* Inspect internal and external building elements and assess their condition.

* Identify defects, maintenance requirements and potential areas of investment.

* Record accurate property condition and component data using a tablet.

* Identify and log relevant HHSRS information and potential hazards.

* Capture photographic evidence where required.

* Ensure all survey information is accurate, consistent and completed within agreed timescales.

* Work independently across an allocated geographical area.

* Maintain high standards of health and safety when undertaking property inspections.

Requirements

* Previous experience undertaking stock condition or property condition surveys.

* Experience within social housing, local authority or housing association environments.

* Good knowledge of residential construction, building components and common defects.

* Understanding of HHSRS and housing-related health and safety requirements.

* Confident using tablets and electronic surveying/data collection systems.

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when recording property data.

* Ability to work independently and manage a daily programme of surveys.

* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

This is working on a contract basis offering excellent working conditions and rates of pay
