About this job

We are currently working with our client who are a North-East Manufacturer recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Production Operative on a temporary basis initially with the possibility of becoming permanent. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a busy production team, supporting the assembly and manufacture of high-quality products while working to production schedules and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble products and components in line with engineering drawings and work instructions. (must have experience with Mechanical Assembly)

* Accurately interpret technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing documentation.

* Carry out quality checks and work closely with the quality department to ensure standards are met.

* Identify and report defects, rework requirements and health & safety concerns.

* Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

* Support continuous improvement activities within the production team.

* Communicate effectively with team leaders and colleagues to ensure manufacturing objectives are achieved.

* Complete all required training and follow company procedures at all times.

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience in a manufacturing, production & Mechanical Assembly environment.

* Able to use a standard tape measure

* Familiar with Impact Drivers in Manufacturing

* Good mechanical assembly skills and experience using hand tools.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Reliable, motivated and safety-conscious approach to work.

Desirable

* Manufacturing or engineering qualifications/apprenticeship.
