Maintenance Officer - Social Housing
Location: Glasgow
Contract: Temporary, 6 months
Salary/Rate: EVH Grade 7
RG Setsquare is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Officer for a six-month temporary contract with a Glasgow based housing organisation.
This is a varied role covering reactive maintenance, void properties and property inspections. You will oversee works from inspection through to completion, liaising with tenants and contractors to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out property, repair and void inspections
Diagnose maintenance issues and specify required works
Manage reactive repairs and void-property works
Raise, monitor and close repair orders
Liaise with tenants, contractors and internal teams
Monitor contractor performance, quality and timescales
Ensure works meet relevant health, safety and compliance standards
Maintain accurate records and provide progress reports
Assist with complaints and resolve repair-related issuesThe successful candidate will have:
Previous maintenance experience within social housing
Experience inspecting properties and managing repairs or voids
Good knowledge of housing maintenance and building standards
Strong contractor-management and customer-service skills
The ability to manage a busy workload and work independently
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicleThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housing maintenance professional seeking a six-month assignment in Glasgow.
