Hays Education are proud to be working with a welcoming primary school in Coventry that is looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to join its specialist resource base on a full-time basis.

The school has a strong inclusive ethos and is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. Staff work closely together to create a nurturing and positive environment, with excellent support available from both leadership and the wider SEND team.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher with strong SEND knowledge to work within a specialist resource base attached to a mainstream primary school.

You will be responsible for a small group of pupils with a range of additional needs, delivering a tailored curriculum that supports both academic development and wider learning outcomes. The role will involve working closely with support staff, families and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the highest standard of support.

The successful candidate will take on the responsibilities of a class teacher and become an integral part of the wider SEND provision. Planning support is available, and you will work collaboratively with experienced colleagues within the resource base.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong experience working with children with SEND
Good understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs
Experience within a specialist setting is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
