We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Lytham St Annes (FY8) on a long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver inspiring Biology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Contribute to the wider life of the Science Department and school community.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Specialism in Biology or a relevant Science subject.
Experience teaching Biology at secondary school level.
Strong classroom management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A genuine passion for science education and student achievement.
