Safety Operator / Minibus Driver

Join Our Team
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and safety-conscious Safety Operator / Minibus Driver to support the safe transportation of students at our secondary school in Tendring.
This rewarding role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people, takes pride in maintaining high safety standards, and is committed to ensuring students arrive safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities
· Safely drive the school's minibus on designated routes and educational visits.
· Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and ensure the vehicle remains clean and roadworthy.
· Supervise and support students during boarding, travel, and disembarking.
· Ensure compliance with all road traffic legislation and school transport policies.
· Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or safeguarding concerns promptly.
· Work closely with school staff to provide a safe, positive, and professional transport service.

About You
The successful candidate will:
· Hold a full UK driving licence (with the appropriate entitlement to drive a minibus).
· Have a strong commitment to student safety and wellbeing.
· Be punctual, reliable, and professional.
· Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Be able to remain calm and confident in a variety of situations.
· Previous experience driving minibuses or working with young people is desirable but not essential.
