We are looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our team.

This is a hands-on role suited to a skilled fabricator who is confident working from engineering drawings and can produce high-quality work using MIG and TIG welding. The position will involve a mixture of workshop-based fabrication and on-site fitting, so applicants should be comfortable working in both environments.

The Role

As a Fabricator / Welder, your responsibilities will include:

* Fabricating and assembling metal structures and components to drawings and specifications

* Carrying out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard

* MMA welding where required – experience would be beneficial but is not essential

* Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings

* Measuring, cutting, shaping, preparing and finishing materials

* Using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely and effectively

* Carrying out workshop fabrication as well as on-site fitting and installation

* Checking completed work to ensure it meets the required quality and dimensional standards

* Identifying and resolving fabrication or fitting issues where required

* Working closely with other members of the team to meet project and production deadlines

* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and following all health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

* Proven welding and fabrication experience

* Good MIG and TIG welding skills

* Experience working from engineering drawings

* Good mechanical knowledge and practical problem-solving ability

* Confidence using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment

* Good measuring and basic maths skills

* The ability to work accurately and produce a high standard of finish

* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Flexibility to work both in the workshop and on customer/project sites

* A full UK driving licence

Experience with MMA welding would be an advantage.
