Pertemps West Bromwich are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client based in West Bromwich.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with previous experience within transport, logistics or fleet operations. The successful candidate will ideally have a good understanding of vehicles, transport compliance and transport planning, as well as being confident using CRM systems.
Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable for this position.
The Role:
As a Transport Planner, you will support the day-to-day planning and coordination of transport operations, ensuring vehicles and drivers are scheduled efficiently, and all relevant compliance requirements are maintained.
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Planning and coordinating daily transport schedules and routes.
Allocating vehicles and drivers to ensure the efficient running of operations.
Monitoring vehicle movements and resolving any issues or delays.
Maintaining accurate records using in-house CRM and transport systems.
Ensuring transport operations remain compliant with relevant company and legal requirements.
Liaising with drivers, customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
Dealing with transport-related queries and operational issues.
Completing general administration associated with transport planning and fleet operations.
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience within transport planning, logistics or fleet operations.
Good knowledge of vehicles and transport operations.
An understanding of transport compliance.
Experience using CRM or transport management systems.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
A proactive approach to problem-solving.
The flexibility to work 6:00am starts.
Polish-speaking skills would be highly desirable, although not essential.
The Details
Location: West Bromwich
Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Start Time: 6:00am
Potential: Opportunity for hours to increase
Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour
