Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering | Teesside
Live Project + ECI | Highways & Travel Infrastructure
We're looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support across two civil engineering schemes on Teesside.
You'll initially take a key commercial role with a particular focus on capturing, substantiating and recovering change on a live project, while also supporting the ECI phase of a new project, which shall lead through to the constriuctioin phase and delivery.
The Role:

Proactively identify and capture change as it occurs
*
Maintain strong contemporary records to support entitlement
*
Prepare and substantiate quotations and variations
*
Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial controls
*
Subcontractor procurement and account management
*
Work closely with site teams to ensure commercial issues aren't missed
*
Support the ECI development of upcoming scheme
*
Assist with pricing, measurement and take-offs
*
Review design development for cost and commercial risk
*
Support buildability, procurement and package strategy
*
Identify risk and opportunity before construction begins
*
Work collaboratively with operational, design and client teams
You'll Need
*
Strong civil engineering / highways commercial experience
*
NEC Option A and B form of contract experience
*
Proven change management capability
*
Good measurement, take-off and pricing skills
*
Experience working closely with self-delivery site teams
*
ECI / pre-construction experience advantageous
*
Commercially sharp, organised and proactive
