£100–£120 per day | September start | Long-term
Smile Education are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school in Oldham.
This role is only suitable for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, or an equivalent education/childcare qualification.
Applicants without a relevant Level 3 qualification will not be considered.
The Role
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across KS3 and KS4, working alongside teaching staff to help students access learning, stay engaged and make progress.
The role may involve in-class support, one-to-one work, small-group intervention and supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils across KS3 and KS4.
Work with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
Assist teaching staff with classroom routines and learning activities.
Support pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional needs where required.
Help pupils remain focused, engaged and on task.
Promote positive behaviour and clear expectations.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement.
Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Follow safeguarding procedures at all times.Requirements

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is essential.
Applicants without a relevant Level 3 qualification will not be considered.
Experience working with children or young people in an education setting is required.
Secondary school experience is desirable.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional needs is beneficial.
You must be reliable, professional, patient and adaptable.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills are essential.
You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
You must have the right to work in the UK.Pay and Benefits

£100–£120 per day, paid weekly.
