Project Manager - CHP / Power Generation
If you've successfully delivered CHP, power generation or industrial energy projects and enjoy being trusted to run them properly, this could be worth a look.
We're looking for a Project Manager to take ownership of a power generation project on the Isle of Lewis.
The role would suit somebody who is comfortable managing suppliers, subcontractors, customers, engineers, budgets, programmes and the inevitable surprises that appear on every project.
You'll need enough technical understanding to challenge contractors, talk credibly with engineers and spot problems before they become expensive.
You'll Probably Recognise Yourself If You Have Experience In:
CHP
Power Generation
Energy Infrastructure
Utilities
Process Plant
Industrial M&E Projects
Heavy Engineering and you've spent the last few years successfully delivering projects rather than sitting in meetings talking about delivering them.
Project Manager - Power Generation Project - The Role
You'll take responsibility for:
Project delivery
Commercial performance
Supplier management
Customer relationships
Programme performance
CDM and Health & Safety
Site coordination
Project profitability You'll also work closely with design engineers to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with both technical requirements and programme commitments.
Project Manager - Power Generation Project - We'd Like To See
Previous Project Management experience within power, energy, utilities or industrial projects
Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
Good understanding of NEC contracts
Microsoft Project experience
Strong commercial awareness
Ability to operate independently
