Transport Planner

Colchester | Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm

We’re looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join our busy transport operation in Colchester.

This is a fast-paced planning role where you’ll coordinate daily transport movements, maximise vehicle utilisation and ensure customers receive the service they expect.

What you'll be doing

Plan and optimise daily and weekly transport schedules
Coordinate company vehicles, drivers and third-party hauliers
Maximise vehicle utilisation and identify cost-effective transport solutions
Manage changes, delays and last-minute requirements
Communicate clearly with customers, hauliers and internal teams
Work closely with fleet, transport and weighbridge teams
Ensure deliveries are planned and completed efficiently and on time

What we're looking for

Essential:

Previous experience in Transport Planning, Transport Scheduling or Transport Operations
Experience coordinating vehicles, drivers and/or hauliers
Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Strong communication and organisational skills
This is a transport planning role — previous experience specifically within transport/logistics is essential.
