Data Product Owner – Operational Resilience
Location: Sheffield – Hybrid 2days onsite weekly

We are looking for an experienced Data Product Owner to support a major data and analytics transformation programme within a large financial services environment.
This role will focus on delivering governed, reusable data products for Operational Resilience, helping the organisation understand service dependencies, operational vulnerabilities and resilience scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
Own the roadmap and backlog for data products aligned with business outcomes.
Lead delivery of data foundations for Operational Resilience.
Translate business needs into clear requirements, user journeys, use cases, acceptance criteria, OKRs and KPIs.
Manage the end-to-end data product lifecycle.
Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, Architects and Data Governance teams.
Define and support data models, data contracts, metadata, lineage, quality rules and access controls.
Support publication of reusable data products to a Data Fabric.
Drive data quality assessment, remediation and continuous improvement.
Manage delivery using Agile practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning and demos.
Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders and drive adoption of data products.
Essential Skills & Experience
Strong Data Product Owner / Data Product Management experience.
Strong understanding of Operational Resilience, including service/impact tolerances, asset dependencies, incidents/outages and DR/BCP evidence.
Experience working in a data-focused environment such as data products, analytics, data operations, engineering or MI.
Strong requirements gathering, analysis and stakeholder management skills.
Good understanding of data architecture and conceptual/logical data modelling.
Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata, lineage and data quality.
Experience managing data assets aligned to business outcomes and strategic data models.
Experience identifying data inconsistencies and driving remediation.
Understanding of modern data platforms and reusable data-product / Data Fabric patterns.
Strong Agile product delivery experience.
Experience within banking/financial services, Procurement, Third-Party/Supplier Management or Real Estate data domains would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can work across business and technology teams, manage competing priorities and turn complex requirements into clear, deliverable data products.
