Casting Operative
Location: Walsall
Hours: Full Time, 38 hours per week
Monday to Wednesday: 6:00am - 4:00pm
Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm
Optional overtime available on FridaysPay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Training: Full training provided
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Casting Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within production and manufacturing, with full training provided for the right candidate.
Working within the casting department, you will be responsible for supporting the production process, ensuring products are manufactured to quality standards and production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Operating casting and production equipment safely and effectively
Preparing moulds and materials for the casting process
Monitoring production processes and reporting any issues
Trimming, finishing and inspecting cast products to quality standards
Carrying out visual quality checks and recording production data
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Following health and safety procedures at all times
Supporting colleagues across the production department when required
Skills & Experience
Previous manufacturing or production experience is advantageous but not essential
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to follow instructions and procedures
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
