Teaching Assistant - Primary - Bolton
Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Bolton. We have opportunities for candidates looking for both day-to-day supply work and longer-term placements.
This is a varied role where no two days need to look the same. You could be supporting learning within a classroom, working with a small intervention group or providing additional help to individual pupils.
The schools we work with are looking for people who are approachable, patient and able to build positive relationships with children. Previous experience working in a school is beneficial, although candidates with relevant childcare or youth work experience may also be considered.
Your responsibilities could include:
Supporting the class teacher with daily learning activities
Working with individuals and small groups
Helping pupils stay focused and engaged
Providing support with reading, writing and mathematics
Assisting with classroom organisation
Supporting positive behaviour
Helping pupils develop confidence and independence
Contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environmentYou may work across different year groups, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable experience within EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
For those looking for greater consistency, longer-term TA positions may also be available, allowing you to become part of a school team and build stronger relationships with pupils.
