Behaviour Teaching Assistant - SEN Secondary School | Enfield
£100-£120 per day | Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Long-Term

Every young person deserves to feel understood, supported, and valued. For students with Special Educational Needs, the right support can make all the difference-not just to their education, but to their confidence, wellbeing, and future.

We're working with a welcoming SEN secondary school in Enfield that is looking for a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who understands that behaviour is often a form of communication and is committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, positive environment where students can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.

Your day-to-day may include:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with their learning and emotional regulation
Providing calm, consistent support during challenging moments and helping students re-engage with learning
Building positive relationships that encourage trust, confidence, and independence
Working closely with teachers, therapists, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to provide consistent support
Encouraging positive behaviour through patience, structure, and clear expectations
Recognising and celebrating every achievement, no matter how smallWe're looking for someone who:

Remains calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations
Has experience working with young people in SEN, SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, care, or similar settings (desirable but not essential)
Can build strong relationships while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries
Has a genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
Wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who need extra support to thriveThis role isn't about managing behaviour-it's about understanding the reasons behind it, providing the right support, and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.

If you're looking for a rewarding opportunity where every day brings the chance to make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you
