About this contract

Our Client, Boccard, a global industrial turnkey constructor specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of innovative industrial plants are currently looking for a Welding & NDT Inspector experienced in the Nuclear for a 6 months contract to start with the possibility to be extended / become a permanent employee near Bridgewater, Somerset (TA7 0AJ)
CSWIP 3.1 / PCN Level 2 MT required

The Welding & NDT Inspector is responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of the companies welding, installation and fabrication activities, including dimensional inspection. They are responsible for inspecting and assessing the strength and quality of welds, ensuring the correct equipment is being used, checking weld specifications and ensuring all safety regulations are being adhered to.

Liaise with clients and production teams to establish good relationships
Ensure Nuclear Safety by ensuring quality welding of materials
Awareness of Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) Responsabilities:

To follow and interpretate procedures and specifications within the job scope
To manage and control the ITP
Contributions to continues improvements
Ensure that the work being undertaken is being carried out in line with the contract specifications and standards, through manufacture to treatment and then to delivery to site.
Liaise with all sub-contractors and treatment works to carry out random inspections of these sites to ensure compliance to the required specifications as set out by contract and purchase orders.
Complete inspections to ensure material at goods inwards meet the required standards.
Ensure a good standard of workmanship is maintained throughout the contract.
Ensure reports from visits to suppliers and sub-contractors to in-house inspections are produced and recorded with contract documentation.
Maintaining a clean and safe work area.
To carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the role.
