Job Title: Packing Operative Technician

Location: Chippenham, Wiltshire

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 Packing Operative Technician for an exciting business based in Wiltshire, developing a pioneering new technology to support the worlds net zero future. The company is now heading towards production after the launch of their first product, and we are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join their team.

For those that are able to demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a commitment to the working hours, there might be permanent opportunities available, and you are welcome to apply after completing your 3 months’ probation period.  

Main Duties:

Package finished boilers and batteries in line with company procedures.
Prepare accessory boxes, ensuring correct parts and documentation are included.
Print and apply product and shipping labels accurately.
Prepare boilers and related items for delivery, including final checks before dispatch.
Work closely with manufacturing and logistics/warehouse teams to coordinate packaging and delivery schedules.
Report any defects, non-conformances, or shortages promptly.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
Keep the packaging and dispatch area clean, organised, and free of hazards.
Skills and Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse, packaging, or manufacturing environment is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to follow instructions and work orders accurately.
Good attention to detail, particularly when labelling and checking items for dispatch.
Comfortable using basic packaging equipment and hand tools.
Good teamwork, reliability, and communication skills.
Physically capable of manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods.
Basic computer literacy for label printing and record-keeping.

Basic Rate - £13.00
Successful candidates will have experience working in similar role, and have ability to read and follow technical instructions, diagrams, and work orders precisely.
