Technical Project Engineer

Location:Reading
Rate:Up to£80 per hour (Inside IR35)
Contract:6-month Contract

The Role: We are seeking Technical Project Engineers to assist on a large Digital Engineering project who have experience in one or more of the following: Synthetics, ITEA, TLS, and Process & Integration

Please note: Due to the nature of the work, you will need to already hold a high level of UK security clearance

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate technical activities across engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and technical interfaces.
Support project plans, schedules, technical roadmaps, and resource planning.
Track delivery against milestones, objectives, and quality criteria.
Provide technical leadership and first-level decision-making.
Support change and configuration management.
Facilitate technical reviews and milestone assessments.
Provide project reporting, forecasting, and progress updates.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and delivery teams to ensure alignment.

Experience required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Holding an APM, PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, or scheduling qualifications would be advantageous.
Experience working within Aerospace & Defence, ideally delivering architecture or engineering projects within MOD, Defence Digital, or UK aerospace environments.
Experience planning and delivering complex technical projects or engineering work packages.
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, critical paths, milestones, and dependency management.
Experience with estimation, resource/capacity planning, forecasting, and reporting.
