Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join the supportive SEND team, an Outstanding secondary school and sixth form located in Hackney. The school is recognised for its high academic standards, inclusive ethos, exceptional pastoral support and commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with students across Key Stages 3 to 5, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and helping them to access learning, develop independence and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.

The Role

Provide tailored support to students with SEND across KS3, KS4 and KS5
Work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Support pupils with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties
Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
Promote positive behaviour, engagement and progress
Build strong relationships with students, staff and families
Contribute to a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environmentRequirements -

The ideal candidate would have:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, proactive and supportive approach
The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
Experience within a secondary school setting, desirable but not essential
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential*Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
