Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31
Weekly Pay: £500 - £525
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long-Term to PermanentLong Term Futures are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northfield. You will be based within a Year 6 class, supporting learning while providing additional support for pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour.
The school is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural needs.
The Role
Support pupils within a Year 6 classroom
Provide whole-class, small group and 1:1 SEN support
Support pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour
Use positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Support emotional regulation, engagement and learning
Deliver targeted interventions where required
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
The Ideal Candidate
Previous Teaching Assistant experience within a primary school
Experience supporting pupils with SEN and challenging behaviour
Confident working with upper KS2 pupils
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Calm, resilient and consistent approach
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
Team Teach or Behaviour Management training is highly desirable
