Maths Tutor

Help Young People Build Confidence in Maths

We're looking for a Maths Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 support to children and young people across Christchurch and the surrounding areas.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll support learners who require alternative educational provision and benefit from a tailored approach to learning. Students may be of varying ages and abilities, with many needing additional support to improve confidence, develop key mathematical skills, and re-engage with education.

This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working closely with students and making a meaningful impact on their progress.

Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition

Requirements

Minimum 6 months' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
Strong Maths subject knowledge
Ability to adapt sessions to different learning styles and abilities
Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally around Christchurch and surrounding areas
