Job Title: Automation Technician – AGV Project
Location: Dagenham, London
Contract: Long-term
Expected Start Date: September 2026

Minimum Qualifications

A relevant professional qualification in one of the following areas is preferred, although not mandatory:

* Robotics;

* Automation;

* Mechatronics;

* Electronics;

* Mechanical Engineering;

* Industrial Maintenance.

Required Professional Experience and Skills

* Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience;

* Preferably Experience working with automated systems, preferably Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs);

* Good knowledge of electromechanical equipment and industrial automation systems;

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook;

* Fluent spoken and written English;

* Ability to read and understand technical instructions and documentation;

* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills;

* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;

* Availability to work on-site in Dagenham, London.

Main Responsibilities

* Carrying out the electromechanical assembly, installation, testing and troubleshooting of AGVs and associated automation equipment;

* Performing technical tests based on the available instructions and documentation;

* Identifying, analysing and reporting technical, performance and quality issues;

* Supporting the diagnosis and resolution of faults affecting AGVs and related systems;

* Reporting technical issues and cooperating with team leaders, clients, contractors and other stakeholders;

* Determining the resources, tools and materials required to resolve technical issues;

* Tracking, handling and correctly storing materials, tools and equipment intended for installation;

* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area;

* Providing technical guidance and coordinating the activities of less experienced team members, when required;

* Complying with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures for the client and the main contractor;

* Contributing to the safety of all team members, contractors and site visitors
