Position: SEN Teaching Assistant.
Pay: £85.50-£110 per day, depending on experience and assignment.
Location: Havering, London.
Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
Working pattern: Supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help pupils access learning, communicate their needs and practise skills that support greater independence.
Prepare accessible resources and reinforce learning at a pace appropriate to the pupil.
Support individuals and small groups during lessons and agreed interventions.
Help pupils follow routines and participate in social activities using school-approved approaches.
Work closely with the teacher and SENCO, recording observations that help inform next steps.What We Are Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant
Relevant SEND experience through school work, childcare, care, mentoring or youth support.
An attentive SEN Teaching Assistant with a consistent approach and clear communication.
The ability to take guidance, work collaboratively and recognise when additional support is needed.
