Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of schools in Northampton and the surrounding areas.
We have opportunities to support pupils with a wide range of needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and feel supported throughout the school day.
The Role
Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
Providing 1:1 and small-group support, adapting to pupils' individual needs.
Supporting pupils with physical disabilities, including manual handling where required.
Assisting with personal care where needed.
Building positive relationships and encouraging engagement, confidence and independence.
Working across different school settings, including special schools and mainstream environments.
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs, including personal care and manual handling where applicable.
Reliability and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive.
Working Hours
Full-time availability is preferred, with opportunities to work regularly across our partner schools. We also have occasional part-time and flexible opportunities available.
