We are looking for Platers for a 2-month contract based with our client in Barton-Upon-Humber
Immediate start available (subject to interview process)
Rate of pay is £22.00 per hour
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plater with a background in heavy engineering or fabrication to join an established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, marking out, assembling and fitting steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
Marking out, measuring and preparing steel plates and structural components.
Cutting, shaping and preparing materials ready for fabrication.
Aligning, assembling and fitting steel components accurately.
Using hand tools, grinders and other relevant workshop equipment.
Ensuring components are prepared to the required specifications and tolerances.
Working closely with fabricators and welders to meet production deadlines.
Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
Following all health and safety procedures within the workshop.Requirements
Previous experience working as a Plater within a fabrication or engineering environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience with marking out, measuring, fitting and assembling steel components.
Competent in using relevant hand tools and workshop equipment.
Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A reliable, hardworking and safety-conscious approach.In date CCNSG (Safety passport) is desirable
