Job Overview
Tezlom Healthcare is looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Care Assistants who are able to drive and have access to their own transport to pick up flexible bank shifts in nursing homes
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working arrangements, allowing you to choose shifts based on your availability while gaining experience across different care settings
The successful candidate will support residents with their daily care needs, promoting their dignity, independence, comfort and wellbeing
Key Responsibilities
*
Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and grooming
*
Support residents with mobility, including safe moving and handling in accordance with care plans
*
Assist with meals and drinks, providing feeding support where required
*
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
*
Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents’ health or wellbeing to the senior care team
*
Maintain accurate care records and complete relevant documentation
*
Follow safeguarding, infection prevention and control, health and safety and confidentiality procedures
*
Work collaboratively with nurses and other care home staff to provide high-quality care
*
Respect residents’ dignity, privacy, choices and independence at all times
Essential Requirements
*
Previous experience working as a Care Assistant in a nursing home, care home or similar care setting
*
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
*
A caring, patient and professional approach
*
Good communication and interpersonal skills
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Flexibility to work different shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays, depending on availability
*
Willingness to provide personal care and support residents with a range of care needs
*
Enhanced DBS and up-to-date mandatory training certificates, or willingness to complete the required compliance process with Tezlom
