Evoke staffing are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Failsworth for a Yard Operative. Hours are Mon-Thurs 08.00am-17.30pm. Friday 06.30am-16.30pm.
Hi Viz and Safety boots are needed for this role. It is a fast paced environment with heavy lifting, you will need to be physically fit.

Duties
* Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times
* Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) updates to track inventory movements accurately
* Handle shipping and receiving tasks by verifying deliveries, inspecting goods, and preparing items for dispatch
* Conduct routine yard inspections, including fence checks, safety audits, and equipment maintenance checks
* Support construction activities by providing materials handling assistance on-site
* Maintain a clean, organized yard environment by sorting materials and disposing of waste properly
Experience
* Proven experience working in a warehouse or yard environment with familiarity in materials handling
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and tracking
* Mechanical knowledge or experience with construction equipment is highly desirable
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during busy periods
* Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload operations
* Strong understanding of health and safety procedures related to yard operations
