Mechanical Manager Responsibilities

* Plan and oversee the phased filling, pressure testing and commissioning of water, heating and ASHP cylinder systems.

* Manage snagging, de-snagging and phased handovers to the main contractor's programme.

* Lead and mentor the Site Manager, and manage labour, health and safety, quality and RAMS.

* Coordinate subcontractors (BMS, ventilation, electrical and air conditioning) and check their progress and commissioning records.

* Attend weekly progress meetings and send a weekly report to the Head of Operations on progress, risks and delays.

* Support valuations and record variations and site instructions for the commercial team.

Mechanical Manager Requirements:

* Proven experience as Mechanical Manager an M&E contractor.

* Experience on large residential apartment developments, including filling, pressure testing, commissioning and snagging.

* Experience managing site staff and subcontractors, with working knowledge of ventilation, BMS, electrical and air conditioning.

* Strong written reporting and Excel skills.

* SSSTS or SMSTS, and a valid CSCS card.

* Desirable: ASHP, MVHR and bathroom pod experience, occupied site experience, and experience on Irish contractor-led sites.
