Rate: Up to £30 per hour CIS, depending on experience
Duration: 9-month contract
Hours: Full-time (site-based)
Marmon Lift Recruitment is working with a well-established mechanical installation company seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter / Welder for a 9-month contract based in Kidderminster.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on Pipe Fitter / Welder with proven experience in pipe fitting, MMA welding and mechanical installation work, particularly within plant rooms and associated mechanical systems.
The role involves carrying out pipe fitting and welding within plant rooms across mechanical installation projects, working from technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Pipe Fitter / Welder Responsibilities:
Carry out pipe fitting and MMA welding within plant rooms.
Install, assemble and maintain pipework and mechanical systems.
Complete MMA welding to a high standard.
Work from technical drawings and specifications.
Support mechanical installation projects within plant rooms.
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Follow all relevant site health and safety procedures.
The Ideal Pipe Fitter / Welder:
Proven pipe fitting and MMA welding experience - ESSENTIAL.
Experience working within plant rooms and on mechanical installations - ESSENTIAL.
Holds a valid CSCS Card - ESSENTIAL.
Holds a full UK driving licence - ESSENTIAL.
Takes pride in producing work to a high standard - ESSENTIAL.
Is reliable, professional and able to work independently and as part of a team - ESSENTIAL.
Has a strong understanding of health and safety on site - ESSENTIAL.
Is available for a 9-month contract in Kidderminster - ESSENTIAL.
Qualifications such as SSSTS, First Aid at Work, G3 Unvented Hot Water, PASMA and IPAF - DESIRABLE.
