Senior Planner - Infrastructure & Energy Schemes
Location: Hybrid / East of England (Fortnightly site presence required for 2-3 days)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a premier energy and infrastructure consultancy on a secondment basis supporting a major national utility provider on a landmark UK grid reinforcement and energy transmission scheme.
This high-profile infrastructure development is a vital component of the UK's energy transition. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Primavera P6 expertise and a proven track record of managing schedules across large-scale, complex projects involving multi-contractor interfaces and diverse stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development, monitoring, and maintenance of robust, fully integrated Primavera P6 project schedules from inception through delivery.
Manage interface schedules and critical dependencies across multiple tier-1 contractors, specialist suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Conduct critical path analysis, earned value management (EVM), baseline management, and project progress reporting.
Identify risk, schedule variances, and potential bottlenecks, proposing proactive mitigation strategies to keep project milestones on track.
Perform site-based schedule reviews and progress updates, requiring fortnightly presence on-site for 2-3 days.
Provide clear schedule reporting and executive summaries to project directors, client representatives, and external bodies.
Candidate Requirements
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 is essential.
Demonstrated experience delivering large, complex civil engineering, infrastructure, or energy projects.
Strong experience managing multi-contractor environments and complex stakeholder groups.
Willingness and ability to spend 2-3 days on-site fortnightly in the regional project hub.
Immediate or short-notice availability is strongly preferred to facilitate a fast turnaround.
Industry-specific power/utilities experience is preferred, though candidates with strong complex infrastructure or civil backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.
