Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Pay: £80-£100 per day, depending on experience and assignment.
Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Start: ASAP, following registration and safeguarding checks.
Contract: Flexible supply and longer-term opportunities, depending on vacancies.Your Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant
You will work one-to-one and in small groups with pupils whose needs may include learning, communication, sensory or physical support.
Follow EHCP outcomes and individual plans under teacher and specialist guidance.
Use accessible resources, communication aids and sensory activities as agreed.
Encourage participation, choice-making and independence at each pupil's pace.
Support care or mobility routines only where required and with appropriate training.What We're Looking For in a SEN Teaching Assistant
Experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, or relevant transferable experience supporting children or young people with complex needs.
A SEN Teaching Assistant who is patient, attentive and comfortable working closely with a specialist team.
Experience in specialist provision is advantageous; discuss care requirements before accepting an assignment.
