The Role
As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils to develop their confidence, knowledge and love of English.
You will be expected to:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons
Teach across KS3 and KS4
Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE examinations
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Maintain high expectations of behaviour and achievement
Assess and monitor pupil progress
Build positive relationships with pupils
Work collaboratively with colleagues and the wider school team
Contribute to the wider life of the school
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong subject knowledge in English
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to inspire and engage pupils
A positive and professional approach
Strong communication and organisational skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
