DT Teacher (SEMH setting)

Contract: Full-Time - Full Academic Year

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced DT Teacher to join a specialist SEMH high school in Salford. This is a full-time role for the full academic year, starting as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will have experience teaching Design Technology and a strong understanding of working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs. You will be confident creating engaging, practical lessons while maintaining a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment.
The ideal candidate will:
Hold QTS or relevant teaching qualifications and have experience teaching DT.
Have proven experience working with pupils with SEMH and additional needs.
Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies.
Plan and deliver engaging, practical DT lessons that are accessible to pupils with a range of abilities.
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and understand the barriers that can affect their learning.
Be calm, patient and resilient, with a nurturing approach to supporting pupils.
